2017 Bodegas Máximo Abete ‘La Roya’ - Navarra, Spain

Máximo Abete started making high quality wines in the 1990's. Today his daughters continue with the same philosophy, but a youthful approach: "Our region, Navarra, is one of the oldest in Spain - we are a Navarra revolution! Our commitment is to focus on our local varieties, especially Garnacha. Our passion is the vineyard, working as natural as possible, with the minimum intervention. So, we make artisan wines. For us is the best was to show our soils, land and location. This is our terroir."

This 100% Garnacha Gris is made with extended skin contact for a rich, velvety texture. White grapefruit, white blossoms, and stone fruits are prominent aromas. This is a fascinating wine, and as only 200 cases were produced, you should definitely try it while you can!

2009 Aci Urbajs ‘Archaical Anarchy’ - Primorska, Slovenia

Aci's philosophy: “The biodynamic viticulture and all the processes developed in accordance with nature is important, as consumers can chose and influence who pursues re-awakening already forgotten farming methods.”

This skin contact white blend showcases the beautiful orange style Slovenia does so well. Rich, spicy, with citrus peel and almond notes. Pairs beautifully with rich, gamey dishes.

2013 La Kiuva Arnad-Montjovet Superieur - Valle d’Aoste

The La Kiuva cooperative was founded in 1975 in the Valle d’Aosta, the smallest Italian region, nestled in the Alps to the north-west of the Italian peninsula, bordering with France and Switzerland.

This light and rustic red begins with bright, wild cherry and racy floral aromas, segues into a light, fresh palate of morello cherry and ripe red fruits of the woods, chased with elusive tracings of garrigue and a tinge of leather. Finishes bright and juicy with just enough structure.and three-year-old barriques. Bottled after 14 months.
